Fire Station Alerting

IP Fire Station Alerting System

Zetron’s IP Fire Station Alerting (IP FSA) system is ideal for any municipality that has IP links between its central communications center and its fire stations. Converting to IP between the central site and the fire station increases the alerting speed and broadens connectivity options.

The graphical user interface (GUI) on the PC at the console position gives dispatchers an intuitive, space-saving way to view status and control the PA, tones, and relays at the station. The server architecture manages the comunication with individual fire stations and allows dispatchers at remote locations to interact with the system over an IP connection.

The GUI client application runs on a PC and includes an intuitive user interface with a "quick-look" status layout. It also provides tools for filtering, selecting, and controlling stations or individual apparatus. In addition, the system can be controlled entirely through a CAD interface.

The station unit can be configured to open bay doors, control station lights or alarm when station sense an external input. The IP station unit includes a response button that can be used for manual acknowledgements or to reach the communications center.

Product Features and Configuration

  • Supports up to 254 stations per system.
  • Supports up to 25 dispatch positions.
  • Station unit includes flexible alerting, control and status capabilities.
  • Near instantaneous alert times achieved with independent voice and data channels.
  • Dispatcher announcement via Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) or radio.
  • Includes dedicated dispatcher client application to initiate commands from each dispatch position.
  • Console Application can alarm when station unit senses an external alarm input.
  • Integrates easily with radio dispatch consoles.
  • Provides computer aided dispatch (CAD) integration with existing M26 CAD protocol or XML.

Model 25 Programmable Encoder

The Model 25 is an instant call encoder. It is used in airports, fire and emergency centers to call out pager users with the press of a single button or through the Computer Aided Dispatch interface.

Each instant call key is programmable and can alert a single pager or team of pager users. Different types of pager may be combined in the same system, including both analog (5-tone) and digital (POCSAG) pagers.

Product Features and Configuration

  • Keypad and 29 easily labeled instant-call keys
  • Serial port for logging printer or CAD
  • Automatically controls and selects among up to 8 transmitters
  • Tone, Tone and Voice, Numeric paging
  • Field Programming from keypad or PC

Model 26 Fire Station Dispatcher

Zetron’s Fire Station Alerting System allows a single communication center to efficiently respond to emergencies by managing the assets of multiple fire stations.

The Model 26 status/control panel provides centralized control of remote fire stations. Up to 240 user-defined buttons with LED status indicators allow the operator to select targeted fire stations, send alerts, and control auxiliary equipment. Changes in the status of personnel and vehicles are reflected on the M26 status indicators. Visual indications help the operator select which stations should respond, as well as determine which vehicles are available, which have already been dispatched, which are out of service, etc.

Up to fifteen Model 26 panels can provide multiple positions with full parallel operations. Typically, the Model 26 is connected in parallel with the dispatcher’s console such that fire dispatch appears as a channel on that console.

As a Fire Station Alerting System, the Model 26 alerts multiple fire stations from the control center. The control center equipment consists of the Model 26 Fire Station Dispatcher, presenting the system controls as a control panel or as an interface to a Computer Aided Dispatch system.

Product Features and Configuration

  • Up to 240 user-defined buttons with LED status indicators
  • Integration with a CAD or functional as stand alone system
  • Full parallel operation of up to fifteen Model 26 panels
  • Interfaces to radio consoles for voice announcements
